Having started working together 6 months ago, we’ve already been chosen as the distributor for Mech-Mind hardware and software in the UK and Ireland.
It all started when we needed a solution for a complex depalletizing system for one of our clients. The client needed to pick various size and material bags from a pallet box, which is a notoriously difficult problem in the machine vision world.
The solution requires a 3D camera system so the position of the item can be communicated in 3D space in combination with AI-based deep learning for effective identification. This differs from picking an object on a surface, which is on a single plane and only requires a 2D camera.
Finding the Best 3D Camera System
We set out to find the best 3D camera system available. We needed a high-quality, reliable and robust solution at a cost-effective price-point.
